Kai is Standing - or is He???

Ok.... I posed him in that standing position for those pictures. He only stood there for 5 seconds before he fell. But that counts right? And don't worry, I caught him every time he fell. :)

One Sick Little Baby.....

Kai is a very happy baby and through this bout with bronchiolitis, he's still as happy as he can possibly be. His dr. office told us to take him to Childrens Urgent Care in Reynoldsburg, so we did that on Monday night. Then today I took him to his pediatrician to follow up. He has this nasty upper respiratory infection going on that makes him wheeze. If that's not bad enough, he can't seem to breathe and take a bottle at the same time very well, so he's not up to what he should be on his liquids. He is starting to lose his voice too. But he smiles and laughs through all of this. I wish I could be like that when I'm sick! Even though he's not feeling well, he managed to show off for the camera a little bit tonight. Here is a picture of him. Did I forget to mention that Kai - my 5 month old - is standing up now? ;)

Drew at Goddard

Today was Drew's Valentine's Day party at Goddard. I went and snapped a few pictures because this is also his last week in this particular class. On Monday he moves into the 2.5 year old class. He will hopefully be working more on potty training in this classroom. He has had 2 great teachers for the last 7 months. I hope the next teachers are as good. He had a great time at his party this afternoon. Here are a few pictures from that. The boy that is in a red jacket in several of these pictures is Drew's buddy Nathan. He also lives next door to us. The teachers (Ms. Jessica and Ms. Julie) were nice enough to let me take their pictures with Drew today since he is moving out of their classroom.

Drew Flew and Went to the Zoo!

So that was a cute title for this blog right?!! I was proud of myself for that one.

This weekend was a big one for Drew. He flew on an airplane for the first time and also went to the zoo for the first time. He got to spend a lot of time with his friend Jayke down in Texas and Rich and I got to see our friends Matt and Marcia again. We went down to Fort Worth for the weekend to Marcia's house. They have a very nice house and they live in a great area. The weather was in the 70's and sunny. The zoo was a lot of fun. Drew and Jayke are at a wonderful age to go to the zoo. Both of them love animals and really enjoyed the monkeys, birds and elephants. Drew did very well on the airplane. He slept a few times and played a lot. He was a good boy and we were very proud of him. Marcia has two cats and Drew spent much of his time at their house chasing them around. It was very funny. He would run after one of the yelling "kitty kitty kitty kitty". The cats would see him coming and run very fast in the other direction. We tried letting Drew and Jayke both sleep in Jayke's bed. We learned that isn't an effective tactic for 2 year olds. So Rich and Drew slept together both nights we were there. It was a great weekend. Enjoy the pictures.

Spaghetti Face

So dinner tonight was spaghetti. We decided to let Drew give it a whirl (he'd never had it before). I had my doubts about Drew feeding himself spaghetti, but Rich had the utmost confidence in his son's ability to eat spaghetti without making much of a mess. Being the submissive (he he) wife that I am, I went along with that. As it turned out, during most of the meal, I couldn't even look at Drew eat. It was everywhere! It was in his lap, on the dog, all over the table, all over his face and hands. Even Blake was laughing at him. I could tell by the look in Kai's eyes that he is excited for his first taste of spaghetti now too! Cleaning Drew up warranted a bath. Here are a few pictures of Drew taken after dinner.
